Budureasca wines have won over 300 medals at international competitions such as Modial Bruxelles, Decanter and IWSC. Their Vine In Flames range was created exclusively for the international market and focuses on highly characterful varietal wines. This Merlot undergoes malolactic fermentation before 40% of the wine is aged in old American and Romanian oak barrels for 6 months.
Ruby red in appearance with lots of forest fruit and subtle spice aromas. This is a full-bodied wine, with a palate of bold, juicy black cherries and integrated soft tannins leading to a velvety aftertaste. Try with roasted turkey, pork, or lamb, or tomato pasta dishes.
Budureasca has deep roots in the history of vine cultivation and embrace the ancient history of vine cultivation and winemaking in the sunny rolling hills of the Dealu Mare region of Romania. They strongly believe in the principles of sustainable development and continue to improve their protection of the environment. This includes the use of biological plant protection products, alternative control options for diseases and pests, and the almost complete reduction of the use of herbicides.
