Nerd Nero D'Avola harvests from the home of this grape, Sicily (DOC), particularly from the Syracuse coast. Maceration prior to fermentation ensures preservation of colour and delicate aromas. This results in a wine that is soft in appearance, yet strong and decisive in character. Floral notes combine with subtle aniseed and cinnamon for a wine that pairs beautifully with barbecued cuisine.
Gentleman Pinot Nero uses slow and precise Burgundy-style vinification in cone-shaped wooden vats, with delestage and batonage before 9 moinths on the lees for maximum flavour. Classic and elegant, this is a complex Pinot Nero that reveals itself further with each sip. Red fruit and berries dominate, with smoke and vanilla adding on the finish. Perfect with tomato and truffle pasta dishes.
Hipster Negroamaro (Salento IGT) takes this unique Italian grape from the Salentine coast harvested in several stages for a perfect mix of aromatic ripeness and extended maturation. The result is a wine of mixed tradition with a complex and layered bouquet hinting at red fruit and berries with subtle notes of pepper and spice. Perfect with Basque tapas dishes.
Hacker Sangiovese (Toscana IGT) comes from the heart of Tuscany in the hills of Greve in Chianti. Vinification and maturation takes place independently for each vineyard plot and terroir with one part maturing in casks and another in steel, each for up to 7 months. The careful blend then rests for 1 month prior to bottling, bringing a cosmopolitan wine with excellent structure and freshness. Aromas of sweet violet and small red fruits compliment solid tannins and full body. Excellent with steak and grilled vegetables.
#Hashtag is a Sauvignon Blanc using grapes from the hills of Eastern Veneto. Kept on the lees for over 3 months to ensure a pure and unaltered bouquet, this dry wine has a strong mineral backbone for ultimate refreshment, with aromas of ripe apple, white flowers and subtle notes of chilli. Perfect with sushi, sashimi and East-West fusion cuisine.
The Lady Pinot Grigio arises from the quintessential home of this premium wine, Delle Venezie DOC in Northern Italy. Resting on lees with 3 months of continuous batonage helps to keep the delicate perfume for a truly cosmopolitan white wine. Unmistakeable citrus and excellent acidity pairs well with salmon, quinoa, herbed vegetables, scampi, wok vegetables or even spiced chicken with basmati rice.
The Boss Prosecco (DOC) is an extra dry sparkler produced using the Traditional Method (Millesimato). Grapes are sourced from the hills of the March of Treviso and local lees are used during a deliberately slow fermentation to maximise freshness and complexity. Showing a character that is strong yet balanced, the bouquet brings citrus, orchard fruit and floral notes, whilst the palate pulls this together with refreshing acidity and bubbles for a beautiful summer's day drink
