High Spirits for Christmas
We're already looking forward to Christmas here at Turton Wines, and have brought in a range of spirit gifts to keep you, well, in high spirits! Here we take you through our favourite seasonal offerings.
Our Christmas begins with Advent Calendars of course! Drinks by the Dram bring us these gorgeous gin and whisky calendars, with a miniature bottle for each day. Only available in store.

One of our favourite gins now comes in this gift set with its very own cup - available while stocks last! Zing 72 (40% £41.00) is handcrafted in Provence, distilled in antique-like small copper alembics, with long maceration of the botanicals for 72 hours, hence the name and gorgeous bottle design.

Sadlers' Peaky Blinders provide the perfect Irish whisky-lovers gift with this gift pack, including your very own flat cap! Their award-winning Irish whisky (40% £38.00) is a bold, yet exceptionally smooth, triple distilled, sherry cask matured, small batch, blend.
Looking to Northern Europe, famed Swedish Mackmyra distillery have spoilt us with their seasonal Winter range. Vinterglod (46.1% £60.20) is a collaboration with mulled winemakers Saturnus, ageing the single malt whisky in casks that previously held Swedish mulled wine and Pedro Ximénez Sherry. This produces an exceptional whisky carrying notes of orange, candied fruit and almond, together with oak and a ginger-like spiciness. Their Vintersol (46.1% £60.20) is a port-casked single malt created with Port wine producers Quinta Do Vallado with an aim to bring sun soaked grapes to the whisky. Elegant with a light spiciness and notes of warm raisins, sun ripe fruits, tropical berries, buttery pear fudge and vanilla.
Going local, Defiance Gin (Manchester) have proved popular with their Flight Club gin, rum and liqueur range. We now have these beautiful glasses to match, available to buy in store to add that special something to your gift.
And finally, let's not forget traditional spirits and liqueurs outside of whisky and gin. We have two new cream liqueurs for that Christmas Day tipple. Both from the Scottish Highlands, Magnum Original (17% £28.00) is an exceptional cream liqueur using only single malt Scotch whisky in a unique fusion with cream, crafted and bottled in Edinburgh. The modern package is designed to keep the liqueur chilled at optimum temperature, without the need for ice, and is also recyclable and reusable!
Arran Gold (17% £21.80) from the Scottish Highlands has gained incredible popularity as a deeply delicious treat of quality. Made with a healthy dose of Arran whisky, it is lusciously toffee, creamy fudge in appearance with aromas of chocolate, cassis, and a touch of fresh mint.
If you really want to splash out, our final offering is Janneau XO Grand Armagnac (40% £84.00). A premium blend of eaux-de-vie that have been aged in large part for up to 30 years in ancient oak casks to bring a true quality tasting experience. A complex nose of leathery vanilla, impregnated stewed plums, cherry, kirsch, blackberries, dried chilli, cinnamon spice and cloves, with an intense, yet well balanced palate; sweet, mouth-filling flavours that linger on to drying oak tannins, tobacco, quince, orange marmalade, almond, faint coffee and kirsch. Absolute luxury in a bottle!
