Nuiton-Beaunoy produce fine wines of great value from Côte d'Or, showing wonderful expressions of Pinot Noir with terroir personality. This Cotes de Beaune harvests grapes from the vineyard La Couleuvraire, located in the village of Baubigny at the foot of the cliffs of Orches. The high-trained vines grow on slightly stony, chalky clay soils. Winemaking in temperature controlled stainless steel vats, before ageing for 10-12 months in French oak barrels.
This results in a deep red-robed wine of beautiful aromatic intensity, offering notes of roasting and cooked fruits. The mouth opens with aromas of liquorice and wood, whilst tannins are firm with excellent structure and a finish of good length. Try with duck, game, rich pasta dishes, or strong soft cheeses.
