A Spanish red wine from Alavesa region of Rioja made from 100 % Tempranillo grapes, with 12 months oaking. Bright red garnet in colour with hints of vanilla and mature fruits on the nose with a touch of liquorice following through on the palate. Smoother than the Joven Rioja, a lovely step up.
The excellent clay-calcareous soil of Rioja Alavesa together with its optimal micro-climate, provides the right conditions to grow the most esteemed varieties of wines.
Delicious on it's own, especially at the end of the night. Good with most red meats, hard mature cheeses
