The Busuioaca de Bohotin grapes for this rose by Domeniile Averesti Rose are harvested by hand with great care. They are then destemmed without crushing. The grapes are cooled to a temperature of 10°C and then macerated in the press for 6 hours. After gravity settling for 24 hours, it's then fermented in large vessels for 18 days.
Light salmon in colour, this rose wine has intense basil aromas complemented by floral notes. The palate is dominated by white fruits with a delicate layer of rose petals. An elegant finish with lightly spicy notes. Try with grilled seafood, shellfish and mature/fatty cheese.
The grapes of over 650 acres of vines that stretch over the Averești vineyard is transformed with passion and skill into fresh, bright and aromatic wines. The high altitude, the acidic forest soil and the cool climate are specific to the area giving the ideal microclimate for the Averești vineyards, preserving the acidity and favouring the complexity of the aromas in the grapes.
