Burning Barn Smoked Rum
An intriguingly rich, intensely smoky rum from West Sussex' Burning Barn. A fruity, treacly 3-year aged Demerara rum is cold smoked with local apple wood from retired apple trees to create an award-winning sipping rum.
The process imparts punchy aromas of campfire ember and smoked meat, juxtaposing handsomely with the underlying brown sugar sweetness. Hints of apple, ginger and burnt treacle are beguilingly smooth on the palate before a fantastically fiery finish.
Try on its own with a dash of bitters, or serve with ginger ale, bitters and a slice of lime.
