Will I receive a ticket when I book an event?
Physical tickets are not issued for events but please keep a copy of your internet booking or till receipt as proof of purchase.  All bookings are added to the event guest list that is used to check all arrivals on the night.  If you are booking tickets as a gift we can produce a Tasting Voucher for you to gift.

I need to cancel a ticket?
If for any reason you cannot make an event, please let us know. All tickets that are resold will be refunded in full.  Tickets cancelled with over a week to go also receive a full refund.  Cancellations with less than a week can be transferred to another event or refunded on a gift card to spend at Turton Wines.  Tickets cancelled within 48 hours will not be refunded unless resold.

Where can I find out about last minute tickets?
Most of our events are sell out but we do get last minute cancellations.  These will always be advertised on social media, mainly Facebook and Instagram. Plus the tickets will become available on our website.  If you are interested in an event that has sold out we can add your name to the waiting list for available tickets.

How often are the events released?
Tastings are released quarterly around 6/8 weeks ahead of the first tasting in the quarter.  There are no tastings over the summer holidays.  The last tasting is mid July and first tasting will start Mid September.  Follow us on social media for all events @theslaughteredhouse

Where are the tastings held?
All tastings are held in the bar area of The Slaughtered House. The Courtyard is open for table service to drop in customers during events.

How many seats are available for each tasting?
Approx 28-32 seats are released for each tasting.  Depending on group numbers and room configuration we may offer more or less tickets.

What time do events start?
All tastings start at 7pm with a welcome drink.  Your presenter for the evening will start at 7.30pm.  Last orders at the bar is 10.30pm. If timings are any different you will be told at the time of booking.

What are the seating arrangements for a tasting?
We seat all bookings together so please let us know the names and number of guests in your group at the time of booking so we can make sure we accommodate this in the room at set up.

What is the format of an event?
Events can vary from one to another, but generally all Wine Tasting events usually start with a welcome drink on arrival, 6 glasses of wine and a sharing cheeseboard at half time.  Gin events are usually a welcome drink and 5 Gins plus a selection of nibbles.  Full details of each event can be found in the ticket section. If you have any questions, please message or call.

I know what I want to taste but you don’t have an event?
If you have a great tasting idea but don’t have the numbers to fill a full event let us know. If we think it’s a winner we will create an event around your request and sell on the seats you don’t need.

I want to join in the fun with friends but not keen on event drink choice?
Don’t miss out on a night out with friends just because you don’t like the serve.  If you have a member of your party that would like a different drink, then just let us know at time of booking and we can give them a different drink choice from the bar menu.

I have a dietary requirement can you accommodate?
If you have any special requirements, please let us know at the time of booking and we can make arrangements to cater for you on the night. We do have crackers & biscuits suitable for gluten or milk intolerance.

Can I book a tasting ticket as a gift?
Yes, they make great gifts.  We have tasting vouchers that can be given as a gift.  These vouchers are specific to an event.  If you are unsure of which event to book then a gift or e-gift card would be more suited.
