Poças is a Portuguese independent company producing Port and DOC Douro wines since 1918. This gorgeous gift set is made up of 3 different ports: Special Reserve Ruby Port 20cl, LBV 2017 Port 20cl and Colheita 2011 Port 20cl.
Special Reserve Ruby Port: This special reserve is made from an exclusive selection of the best barrels of Ruby port each year. Lots of raisin, fig and prune hints with a powerful sweetness at its core. In the mouth it has lots of dark fruits and some toffee hints. 20% ABV
LBV 2017 Port: Port wine from a single harvest of high quality, aged in oak barrels and bottled in the fifth year after the harvest. Ruby in colour with intense flavours of ripe berry fruits. Dense and full-bodied but balanced, with light cocoa notes & a very long mouth finish. 19.5% ABV
Colheita 2011 Port: This Colheita is a high-quality Port issued from a single harvest, aged in oak casks for at least seven years. During maturation in wood, the young, fresh and fruity aromas will turn into an elegant and complex bouquet combined with a silky texture and a long-lasting finish. 19.5% ABV
With more than 100 years of life, Poças is currently in the hands of the 4th generation, being one of the rare Port Wine companies that was born Portuguese and has remained in the hands of the same family since its foundation. They own 3 Estates located in Douro Demarcated Region (Quinta das Quartas, Quinta de Santa Bárbara and Quinta de Vale de Cavalos) with more than 70 hectares of vineyard, where all of the grapes come from.
