Touriga Nacional, Aragonez and Alfrocheiro grapes from the Dao region of Portugal go through long skin maceration. before spending 6 months in barrels and 2 months minimum in bottle before release.
The results is a wine of deep claret appearance with a nose of distinct intensity; predominantly dark fruit confit, balsamic notes, hints of caramelised onion and beetroot. The wonderful notes on the palate come from ageing in high quality barrels. Fruity, smooth and elegant with balsamic and warm spice notes coming together in a harmonious style.
