A collaboration between Wild Turkey's master distiller Eddie Russell, and the distillery's creative director - the award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey - Longbranch is a truly tasty result. Made with eight year old Wild Turkey bourbon from the home states of the collaborators, Longbranch uses charcoal made of both Kentucky white oak and Texas mesquite to filter the liquid.
The nose shows a sweet blend of caramel, smooth toffee and lifted spicy nutmeg and oak. First taste brings creamy vanilla which fades into buttery caramel, orchard fruits, and a dash of lemon zest tempered by a drizzle of honey. The finish presents a pinch of black pepper, an underlying buttery note and lingering drying oak.
