Tony Bish Fat & Sassy Chardonnay

This fantastic New Zealand Chardonnay from the Hawke's Bay region, courtesy of the country's only Chardonnay exclusive producer, Tony Bish, who uses concrete and French oak 'Eggs' for uniquely textural and compelling wines. Known as the 'King of Chardonnay', his fine wines are strikingly modern, complex and quaffable.

Fat & Sassy shows a full, broad nose of refreshing and bright ripe yellow stone fruits and citrus fruits along with an edge of creamy and nutty barrel-ferment and spicy oak notes. The mouthfeel is enriched by integrated layers of lemon-curd and buttery accents.

The palate has an underlying freshness with acid poise, and the wine flows along a fine-textured line with creamy nutty notes and citrus fruit flavours leading to a sustained finish with toasty oak. Try with creamy dishes of pasta, risotto or pastries, white meats, fish or shellfish, or with rich, mature cheeses.
