Rivington Heritage Gin
Rivington Heritage Gin is a limited edition, truly unique product. Its distinctive flavour comes from the berry ‘Gaultheria Shallon’, a relative of the blueberry and native to North America. Originally planted as a decorative shrub by Lord Leverhulme at the historic Rivington Terraced Gardens in Chorley, Gaultheria berries are hand-picked by a hardy group of wonderful volunteers in early Autumn.
With Cuckoo gin as a base it has a beautiful clarity which sparkles in the glass. The complex dark berry is both sweet and savoury with a nutty undertone, it is perhaps best described as a grown up blueberry with an irresistibly mature dry finish.
Best enjoyed with lots of ice, your favourite tonic and a few summer berries.
For a slightly sweeter summer cocktail mix with Ginger Ale and sliced strawberries.
