La Grappe De Montpellier Gin
La Grappe de Montpellier was founded in 1923, though distillation in the region was famous for centuries. Today it operates as a cooperative distillery. Their gin is made from a base of wine 'marc', or the fermented skins and seeds left from the press of wine. In more traditional distillation this would create grappa, a style of brandy.
This marc forms the base of their gin infused with juniper, grape, lemon, almond, coriander, and lavender. The result is a stylish Mediterranean gin flavour. yet strikingly a more modern, floral style.
