Grapes: Merlot 70% Malbec 20% Cabernet Sauvignon 10%

Bernard Grimard is the fourth generation of his family to run this 13 hectare estate, which is located on the clay and limestone slopes overlooking the Gironde across from Margaux. Merlot dominates the blend (70%) with a good proportion of Malbec (20%), and then Cabernet (10%).

A good deep ruby colour with notes of plum, cherry and cassis on the nose.
The fruit on the palate is nicely concentrated with blackberry, dark cherry and hints of violet coming through, and structured by some gentle tannins.
