Awatere River's Sauvignon Blanc is a vegan-friendly wine made with a blend of hand picked and machine harvested grapes, carefully crafted for greater length. Aromas of guava, melon, gooseberry, and fresh herbs, with stonefruit, passionfruit and citrus following on the palate. Bright, vibrant and juicy with concentration and purity. Try with grilled fish, seafood pasta, creamy risottos or goats cheese.
The Vavasour family of Awatere River Wines have worked the land for over 100 years, first planting grapes there in the 1980s They harvest the finest fruit parcels and follow with minimal handling, intervention, and additives. Many of their vegan-friendly wines are developed with little or no finings. Sustainability is key, with the ongoing establishment of an organic vineyard to match the organic processing capability of their winery.
