A Romanian red wine from the Dealu Mare region, the Feteascã Neagrã, or Black Maiden grape, is an old native variety grown in several areas of Romania. Clear, intense red with violet hues in appearance, it shows intense spice aromas (black pepper), vanilla and notes of quince and ripe red fruits. Dry, full-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, with soft tannins and aromas of red fruits (blackberries and blueberries).
