Cellar Notes: | Diplomatico Reserva has a higher proportion of potstill rums aged for approximately eight years. As a result, it is noticeably richer and sweeter than the Anejo, with a delicious silky mouthfeel and exceptional balance.

Aromas: | Rich and full, with golden syrup, Demerara and a hint of treacle. Some caramelised cooked fruit aromas. Reassuringly weighty oak in the background - polished mahogany notes. Hint of cinnamon, over-ripe oranges or orange liqueur and bitter dark chocolate

Palate: | Rich, without being sickly. Amazingly smooth, gentle texture - like being stroked with a silk glove. Chocolate velvetiness on the palate, with the creamy oak spices emerging again (as with the
Anejo) alongside some citrus notes to counteract the syrupy sweetness. On the finish a sweet cocoa caress, with shimmering spices.
