In 1995, Reh-Kendermann made in Romania and the first step to expand to Eastern Europe by acquiring a cellar at Opri?or (Mehedinti) and then replanting 240 hectares of vines in one of the best wine regions in this part of the world. Terra rosa soil strip between the Carpathians and the Danube is a source of wealth which feeds a young and eager to live rich harvest, selected grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Dornfelder and Primitivo. In this wild and lonely corner of the country nature is the only master.
