Edoardo Miroglio Wine Cellar was established in 2002 in the region of Elenovo village – about 15 km from the city of Nova Zagora. Grape-growing and wine-making have been traditional for the region ever since Thracian times. Modern research and analyses have proved that the terroir of Elenovo is unique for Bulgaria and is equally good for cultivating both red and white grape varieties.
The winery itself is an intriguing combination of ancient-looking exterior naturally blending with the environment, and modern technologies and state-of-the-art equipment. The cellar is surrounded by vineyards spreading on rolling hills, a natural lake and green lawns, which provide excellent conditions for development of wine-tourism. A luxury guest house with a restaurant and a tasting room facilitates this feature and contributes to the memorable impressions from the winery. The internal design and furnishing of the guest house represent a unique symbiosis of traditional Bulgarian and antique Italian styles.
As of the present moment, 210 hectares of vineyards owned by Edoardo Miroglio have been planted in the area of Elenovo village with elite French and Bulgarian grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Mavrud, Melnik 55, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel and Traminer.
The technological cycle encompasses all technological operations, from the initial grape processing to the wine bottling. The management and quality control of the production is performed by a state-of-the-art laboratory. The cellar is equipped with high-quality French oak barrels, essential to the process of wine ageing and maturing
