Rosevear Estate Notley Gorge Pinot Grigio 2008

Price £12.35

Stock Level: 23

Grape:Pinot Grigio
Strength:13%
Style:Dry
Size:750ml

Cellar Notes:The fruit was picked early in the cool of morning to retain fruit flavour. The juice was run off skins immediately after pressing and then cold settled to remove solids. The wine was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the intense aromatics and to maximise the integrity of fruit flavour.
Appearance:Clear and bright with green hints
Aromas:Aromatic with scents of green herbs and spicy pear
Palate:Typically pinot grigio with an initial tang of bracing lemony acidity leading to a mid-palate showing excellent fruit weight. The finish is crisp and crunchy with clean, refreshing acidity that leaves the mouth watering for more
Serving Notes:This is an early drinking style with fresh, aromatic fruit flavours that are ideal to enjoy now without the need for extended cellaring. Ideally suited to a variety of seafood dishes including crab, oysters and sashimi

Vineyard Notes: We’re very excited to be offering our very first range of wines from Tasmania under the Notley Gorge label. Sourced from the Tamar River and drier East Coast regions, this small but perfectly formed and attractive range of wines are made at the Rosevear Estate which looks out over the Tamar River estuary north of Launceston on the Northern side of the island. Dr Richard Smart (viticulturalist) and Dr Andrew Pirie (winemaker), both of world renown and industry recognition, are responsible for turning in quality fruit and making premium wines.
