Cellar Notes:The age worthy Cabernet Sauvignon grape forms the backbone of many sturdy, lusty reds. Deep in colour and blackcurrant in flavor with a smooth velvety texture. With occasional cedar wood notes and dark chocolate texture and flavor. Cabernet Sauvignon has become a byword for a full-flavored, reliable red. This Reserva is very popular from the brand Portillejo. The grapes are grown high up in La Mancha, hand picked and fermented using only yeast and water. A well rounded sturdy red. Aged in Portillejo’s French and American oak barrels for fourteen months
Appearance:Red cherry colour with a tile colored seam, vivid and brilliant
Aromas:Good intensity, delicate, of grand elegance, red fruits, smoked and spicy hints and later on green tea and pleasurable balsamic finish
Palate:It appears balanced, round and with natty tannins, perfectly integrated in the conjunction. An elegant acidity endows a vivid and graceful pass through the mouth. It has a very big aftertaste
Serving Notes:Stong dark meats lie venison

This Vineyard is in the La Mancha region which is 200 miles south of Madrid. It is this family run vineyard’s philosophy that they do not water the vines and will only use nature to grow the grape. Once the grapes are hand picked they are crushed immediately with the yeast and simply left to ferment.
