The Almacenista: Vides S.A. was founded in 1958 by Don Tomas Domecq Rivero, and the bodegas are located a few hundred yards from Lustau's main cellars in the old Santiago quarter of the city. Today, his grandson, Don Fernando Leon Manjon owns the bodega.
Emilio Lustau have always placed absolute quality ahead of volume considerations and thus stand apart from mainstream bland wines that the large brands promote today. Producing the full range of styles, from clean, pure, bone-dry Finos through to resplendent, unctuous essences such as PX, Lustau never fail to provide us with the very best quality. They have also recently completely redesigned their Solera labels: each style now sports the corresponding cask end symbol on the label. They`re also now waterproof - especially good for the Finos in icebuckets
