Jsc Sarajishvili was founded in 1884 by Mr. David Sarajishvili, a famous Georgian entrepreneur and public man, a doctor of Chemistry and Philosophy. He was the first to produce cognac by using the classical French technology in the whole Russian empire of those days.David Sarajishvili’s cognacs were known on the market as “Natural Caucasian cognacs”. The logotype of the Caucasian goat, standing on a cliff, became the logotype of the company and decorated the labels. In 1889-1913 Sarajishvili production renowned for premium quality and merits was awarded 9 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze medals and 1 gold medal Diploma at international exhibitions. David Sarajishvilis’ company was awarded the title of “Commercial Advisor” and “Official Court Supplier” of Georgian Brandy to the Russian Emperor.
Along with the unique georgian brandy spirits distilled by Sarajishvili himself, raw materials produced from almost every year’s harvest of the 20th and 21st centuries are also kept in the warehouses of our company. Due to their geographical place of origin and age diversity we produce Georgian cognac of best quality. 194 prizes can serve as an evidence of it which the company has received at different international exhibitions and contests since the 19th century: 22 Grand Prix, 128 gold medals, 36 silver and 11 bronze medals among them
