Vineyard Notes:
Chateau Ka
Chateau Ka, literally meaning “soul for an ancient god”, was founded by Akram Kassatly as recently as 2000, with the first release of wines in 2006. Previous attempts to start the wine business had been thwarted by war but this time the winery has flourished. The initial planting of 50 acres, at 1200 metres elevation, is growing and by 2010 there will be some 300 acres in production.
