| Cellar Notes: | Absolutely delicious and made by one of the top producers in the region. The Manciat Poncets who own this domaine believe that great wines are made in the vineyards not in the winery and as a result they stick to the traditional winemaking methods that have been used in the area for generations. Large temperature controlled (a small sop to the new world) tanks are used for fermentation and large oak barrels are used to age the wines for between 7 - 9 months. Small new oak casks are used for ageing 15 - 20% of the wine.

| Aromas: | Smoky, toasty and pineappley on the nose. |
| Palate: | Shows a palate with pleasing breadth of minerals, grapefruit and red apples, some toasty, nutty highlights and a soft, juicy finish. |
| Serving Notes: | A superb partner for fine fish dishes - especialy salmon, monkfish or rainbow trout, will also pair well with roasted or grilled poultry. |
Vineyard: Domaine Manciat-Poncet
Manciat-Poncet is a 12-hectare domaine split between the appellations of Mâcon and Pouilly Fuissé. The Manciat-Poncets, who own the domaine, believe that great wine is born in the vineyards and they work hard in their immaculately kept vineyards. The work, and the work of their predecessors, is rewarded by the extraordinary quality of their wines. This is one of the top small domaines producing Pouilly Fuissé and Mâcon Charnay and the wines get high marks from virtually everybody.
