Jerome Billard inherited this estate from his father and now bottles all the wine he produces, previously the wine would be sold in bulk to the negociant. In the 1920s, Claude Rossignol, the grandfather of Alain Billard, possessed a domain to Volnay and plots of land in Monthelie, Volnay and Volnay 1er Cru. Mr. and Mrs Roger Billard, his parents, took over the exploitation in 1961 with 4 hectares of vineyards. Alain Billard took over the domain, in his turn, in 1982. In 1990 he obtained all of the tenant farming and sharecropping. Today, the Domain is constituted by 7 hectares distributed on the municipalities of Monthelie, Beaune, Pommard Volnay and Meursault.
