Aragón is one of Spain's 17 autonomous communities. It stretches from the Pyrenees (Los Pirineos) in the north (bordering France), to the central Iberian plateau. To the east of Aragon lies Catalonia, while La Rioja, Castilla y Leon and Navarra are its neighbors to the west. The River Ebro divides Aragon's wine regions, with Somontano occupying the north and three smaller regions located further south.
